It was such a special day for Tanner. He has wanted to be baptized for quite sometime (probably ever since his sisters were baptized). However, we wanted to wait until he was a little older. When the church questionnaire asked why he wanted to be baptized, he said, "Because I have Jesus in my heart forever, and I want everyone to know it!" After having some discussion about what it means to be baptized, and after reading some scripture about being baptized; we felt like Tanner was ready. It was a BIG day for him, and like his Mama; he had a little bit of nerves and anxiety about it all. He was super excited, but also very nervous. He wanted to make sure that he went to the "class" with us, so that he would know all of the logistics. He wanted to know where to stand, where Kenny and I would stand, when we were supposed to go up, etc. At the class, he was the only young child who asked questions like: "Can we take pictures?" "Can we bring friends who are not Christians?" . It was so cute! The leader was thrilled with his questions. They were right on spot! Once the moment came, Tanner had a butterfly tummy! Yet, he was very serious when asked the question by Daddy......"Do you have Jesus in your heart?" "Do you want to follow him always." It was a great day with friends and family. Tanner invited his friend, Cameron. The Aiello's came to support him, and all of our family joined in also. Afterward, we met up at Tanner's favorite restaurant.....SOMEBURROS!
