We had grand plans this 4th of July weekend. We had these plans for quite some time; and they included camping with the Aiello's. We had been preparing for several days, and the trailer was packed and ready to go! Kenny got off work early, and we had the trailer all ready for the BIG stuff when he got home. However, God had other plans for us this weekend. The signs/clues started right away. First, Mallory had an earache (very persistent). We could only get her into the Dr. at 1:00. So, the Aiello's were sent on ahead of us to find a spot. We hooked up the trailer to the truck and took Mal to her appointment. As we all waitrd in the HOT TRUCK (something should've told us there was a problem right then); Mallory went into her appointment to find out that she had a cold (no ear infection). So, we ventured on. We decided that we needed to stop back by the house (as we forgot some things). Then we ventured on again; this time to Burger King for our usual lunch/ice stop! Then the engine light came on. It was telling us that something was wrong with the towing/turbo. After being in the heat for some time trying to fix the problem, we finally listening to the signs/clues. God was preparing us the whole day. If we had gone straight up the Mountain to Payson; we would've broken down while on the edge of a cliff or mountain. We were so glad that we listened. So, we went home!!!! We thought that maybe we would try again the next day, but NOPE! The truck was not getting fixed. So, we vegged at home, relaxed, and went to Central Christian Church for their 4th of July firework show! We were sad to have missed camping with the Aiello's (they sent pictures of the fun); but we still managed to have a fun family weekend.
