Wupatki Indian Tribe

Kenny is a wonderful guide!
Watch Kenny's hair blow!
Aubrey's hair flying up from the blow-hole.
Mallory's hair went flying everywhere!
It was so cold, and it felt great.
The hike down to the village.
It's hard to see, but the Painted Desert is way in
the background.

This is a view from the top of the village area.
Just past the Sunset Crater area there was an area where you could stop to see some old Indian Ruins. It was a bit of a drive, but we were mesmerized by the beauty on the way. First of all the temperature went from 50's to the 80's in just a short time. Then we thought that we could see the Grand Canyon, but we couldn't figure out how that could be. Once we got to the Wupatki Indian Ruins; we asked the Rangers what we were seeing? It was the Painted Desert. Super cool! As we visited the tribe, we were amazed at how beautiful it was. Apparently it was the "Scottsdale" of Indian tribes. It was very neatly put together. The kiddos thought that the Blow Hole was the coolest thing. It changed the temperature from 80's to the 50's at least. It was a great way to cool off.
