We went to Wild Horse Pass for Father's Day weekend! It had changed a bit from the last time we were there. When you get off the freeway, there is a HUGE hotel/casino for Wild Horse Pass. This is different from where we stayed. That had us a little stumped, because last time the casino was close to the resort/spa. The actual resort/spa is located back in the desert with a beautiful view of the Estrella Mountains (I think that is what they are called). It was a really great time! We checked in on Friday, and went straight out to the pool. We hung out there until evening, and then drove to Applebee's for a YUMMY dinner. It is funny how we were not far from home, but our little "Stay-cation" felt like a real vacation. We watched a movie in the hotel room (Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston). We woke for breakfast at the Resort Restaurant (buffet style), and then headed out to the pool again. We stayed at the pool all day! We went to the room for some lunch and a little rest from the sun. Then Around 5:00 in the evening, we headed back out to the pool. We stayed until 9:00. Once we got back to the room; we were all super tired. That sun does something to you? We were also a little toasty red (surprisingly, not me). Kenny and I had enjoyed some "foo foo drinks", and you would think it put us right to sleep? Not me, I stayed up reading until midnight. It was just me, my Kindle Book, and a bunch of snoring/breathing family members. Once I finally fell asleep; it felt like it was time to wake up for breakfast. So, we sang "Happy Father's Day" to Kenny, and gave him his presents to open. Then off we went to breakfast.This time we by passed the buffet. By then we were to tired of swimming. Plus, we were missing "The Cutest Dog in the World". We checked out, picked up the baby, and headed home to veg the day away. It was a great weekend!
