We have known that we would most certainly have children that needed braces; we just didn't know WHO would be first? Mallory is the one! A few weeks ago we went in for Aubrey's ortho appointment to find out that she would need to first have 4 permanent and 2 baby teeth removed before considering braces. Aubrey was crushed. Mallory's appointment followed with the news of, "You will need braces for around 18 months, and we can get started now!". She was so excited, and Aubrey was so sad.
However, when the day rolled around for the actual braces; WE were all very excited for Mallory (expecially sista). We dropped her off at 9:30, and returned at 11:30 with a new family member. When we got there, she was in a daze. She was tired, thristy, and hungry! The assisstant had trouble getting the braces on the back teeth, because her mouth was so small. So, the orthodontist came in to help. He said that she will probably be quite sore. Right now, she is on pain reliever.......so she is a-ok. We picked up a slushy and some soup, and she is good to go! The most exciting part for her was to choose her colors (couldn't do that when I got braces). She chose neon green and pink. What a grown up girl!

ReplyDeleteShe looks so adorable! Her teeth look very pretty in the before pic. Ryleigh is dying to get her braces on, and they still won't put them on. 4 baby teeth still! It is great to hear from you and see pictures of your beautiful family!
