We ended our break with a 3 day camping adventure in Payson. We had decided to head to our usual places (Forest Lake area). Once we got up there, the temperature drastically went down. It was 42 degrees. As we rounded a corner, SNOW!!! There was lots of snow! The banks were nearly as tall as Mallory. There was no way to get into any of the campsites, let alone a turn-off. So, we went into Payson. We stayed at Houston Mesa Campgrounds. It was beautiful weather! The temperature was in the 50-60's during the day. The kiddos had a ball on their imaginary adventure through "Coopita" (the name of their forest). To get there, you had to cross the "The Creek of Mystery". It was so funny! The nights were a little chilly, so Ogle had to stay warm in his jacket. He is such the camping dog. We also went into Payson to check out the beautiful park by the lake. There is a museum in that area. That is where the "FIRE DEPARTMENT" picture was taken. We also went on a hike.........a nice loooooong hike. I started to freak about animals (bears); so we rushed down that mountain in nothin' flat. All and all it was a great ending to our Spring Break!
